NCAC in the News

* The Palladium-Item's Joh Chapin previews a young, eager Earlham men's basketball team.

* BuckeyeSports.com's running feature This Date in Buckeye History says that OSU is 12-6 today through its football history. Three of those losses came to current NCAC schools:

1896: Wittenberg 24, Ohio State 6

1891: Kenyon 26, Ohio State 0

1890: Denison 14, Ohio State 0 – In Ohio State’s second ever road contest, the Buckeyes fell to Denison. The Buckeyes (1-2) had won their first game away from Columbus – and first game overall – that May against Ohio Wesleyan.

* In the Lafayette Journal & Courier, Ken Thompson explains Wabash is seeking both the Monon Bell and a playoff berth.

* Sports Illustrated covered the annual Monon Bell Game in 1993 and 1973.

* Dave Jablonski of the Springfield News-Sun continues his extensive coverage of the Wittenberg Tigers with an article on today's dangerous game against Wooster. The Tigers are a game away from their first undefeated season since 2000.
