Wittenberg's Maggie Amorello and Denison's Kimmi Oshita picked up their All-America awards at the recent NSCAA Convention.
Amorello, who started all 21 games in which she played, earned third-team honors. She was the central defender on a unit that allowed just 13 goals in 22 games in 2009. The Tigers recorded 15 shutouts, good for No. 2 in the conference and No. 12 in all of NCAA Division III in team shutout percentage.
Oshita became the 11th player in Denison women's soccer history to receive All-American accolades. The junior forward was named a second-team All-American by the NSCAA after leading the Big Red in goals (15) and points (31), and being named the 2009 NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, just the fifth player to receive "Offensive Player of the Year" status in Big Red history.
