* Incoming Wabash freshman Brandan Alford joined his Lafayette American Legion baseball teammates in rescuing a women trapped under a minivan Saturday, June 21. Alford, Emilio Domondon, Andrew West, and Kory Banes lifted the vehicle off 72-year-old Helen Williams, who was trapped under a tire.
Alford, a third baseman for the Lafayette American Legion Post 11 baseball team, plans to play for the Wabash squad this coming year.

* Wabash quarterback Matt Hudson was among a group of Little Giants that traveled to Martinsville, IN to help clean up after the recent flooding.
The students were moved to help out after watching news coverage of the devastation, so they contacted the Morgan County office of the Emergency Management Agency to find out which areas of the county needed the most help.
